Professional Background
Rebecca is a fourth year graduate student. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2012 with a B.A. in Psychology. Her primary research interest is in determining evidence-based transition supports for emerging adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Rebecca is also interested in executive function as a target in interventions for youth, across diagnoses. Her Master's thesis was a needs-analysis of parent-reported strengths and difficulties of emerging adults with ASD and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Outreach Work
At the campus level, I am currently serving as a Virginia Tech Graduate Diversity Scholar. As a diversity scholar, I am creating didactic materials for campus educators targeted at ways to best serve students with disabilities in the classroom setting. Although not a primary research focus, I enjoy reading about inclusion and access. In my spare time, I like to travel and cook.
